Overview

As Lead Designer at UIV Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH, I was responsible for developing the corporate identity and web design of the STELE project. The goal was to create a unified, flexible design system that translates highly technical content into a clear, communicative, and human-centered brand. From logo and color system to typography, iconography, and applications in print and digital media, the visual identity expresses STELE’s role as a connector in the field of e-mobility and infrastructure development.

The Challenge

The challenge was to design a visual system that reflects both the technical precision and the societal relevance of the project. It had to feel credible and innovative, while also being adaptable to various formats—from digital touchpoints to public-facing materials. The brand also had to express accessibility, neutrality, and optimism in the context of climate-friendly mobility.

The Solution

The STELE identity is built around the symbol of a circular lightning bolt—representing electricity, energy flow, connection, and continuity. A calm, confident blue color palette (Connective Blue), a modular icon system, and the Neue Kabel typeface form the visual foundation. The icons balance geometric structure with natural references, visualizing transformation, network, and ecological movement. Patterns and illustrative compositions extend the brand’s rhythm across media—creating recognition and visual consistency. The brand book includes comprehensive layout guidance, digital applications, and sample implementations in print and web.

The Result

The STELE corporate identity translates technical complexity into clear and communicative design. It positions the platform as a trusted actor in Austria’s climate and energy transformation. The system is scalable, intuitive, and prepared for future expansion—from policy communication to public dialogue. Through design, STELE builds connection—not only in grids, but in minds.
