Overview
Hosted by the City of Vienna in cooperation with Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH (UIV) and the Centre for Liveable Cities Singapore (CLC), the WCS Mayors Forum 2025 marked a major milestone in Vienna’s international positioning as a forward-thinking city. As Creative Director at UIV, I was honored with the trust and responsibility to lead the visual and spatial design of the event. The core design and its implementation were developed in collaboration with Vienna-based designer Marina Brooks (andverafter). Photography was provided by Marko Visnjic, Jakub Hahn, the CLC team, and Urban Innovation Vienna.

The Challenge
The task was to interpret an existing international corporate identity with sensitivity and confidence—while adapting it to a Viennese context and ensuring a coherent guest experience across multiple venues. The challenge was to visually balance global standards, local identity, and the demands of high-level diplomatic engagement.
The Solution
Building on the existing WCS design language, I led the creative process for adapting and implementing the visual identity across the entire event journey. This included venue design, signage systems, printed materials, presentation templates, and digital assets. Together with Marina Brooks, we ensured a cohesive and elegant experience—subtle yet powerful, respectful and future-facing.
The Result
The Mayors Forum in Vienna was visually consistent, atmospherically rich, and professionally executed. The event’s design enabled orientation, focus, and connection—making space for meaningful encounters between international mayors, city makers, and thought leaders. It was a privilege to serve as Creative Director for this global forum and to receive the trust of Urban Innovation Vienna GmbH, the City of Vienna, and Centre for Liveable Cities Singapore. The successful collaboration with Marina Brooks and the support of a dedicated team of photographers made this experience both visually and personally rewarding.
