Overview
This papercut work was created as part of my ongoing exploration of identity, femininity, and the symbolic relationship between humans and nature. Using the traditional technique of hand-cut paper, I translated a self-portrait into a detailed composition where organic motifs and language merge. The act of fruit harvesting is both literal and metaphorical, connecting to cycles of fertility, nourishment, and renewal. Inspired by botanical structures and the visual rhythm of folk art traditions, the piece reflects on how personal growth and cultural memory can be interwoven into a single artistic gesture.

The Challenge
The main challenge was to translate an intimate self-portrait into the fragile medium of papercutting, where every line must be intentional and irreversible. It required balancing technical precision with poetic softness, so that the work would not only depict a figure in nature but also embody the emotions of growth, harmony, and inner strength. The task was to create a composition that felt both deeply personal and universally resonant.
