Overview
This body of work spans several years and contexts, with each papercut standing independently while contributing to a shared dialogue. Using the fragile and uncompromising medium of hand-cut paper, I explored the symbolic overlap between human forms and ecological structures. Some works emphasise botanical abundance, others focus on portraiture where the body itself becomes landscape. Taken together, they reflect an ongoing inquiry into how nature is not only an external environment but also a mirror of inner identity and emotion.

The Challenge
The challenge was to sustain a consistent artistic voice across different moments and works, while allowing each piece its own autonomy. Papercutting demands absolute precision, every cut is final, so translating complex ideas of ecology, identity, and emotion into a purely linear language required both restraint and imagination. Balancing fragility with strength, intimacy with universality, was at the heart of each creation.
